Sonilo publishes this page about its own product. Sonilo facts were checked against the Terms of Service and the licensing help center on September 27, 2026. Statements about other services were checked on their official pages the same day and can change; read the current terms of the tool that made your file.
Short answer
Which AI music generators let me use the output commercially in client work and paid ads? Sonilo does, from Pro upwards: ads, sponsored content, monetized channels, and client deliverables are named in the plan scope, the client does not need a Sonilo account, and a television or broadcast spot needs Premium. Other generators gate commercial use by plan too. As of September 2026, Suno's terms keep Free and Basic output personal and non-commercial and allow commercial use of permitted downloads on Pro and Premier, and SOUNDRAW's license lists client work on its paid plans. Whatever the tool, the plan active when the file was generated decides the rights.
Can I use AI-generated music in monetized YouTube videos without getting copyright claims? Yes, when the output is licensed for monetized use and you keep the proof. Sonilo does not register generated tracks with YouTube Content ID, and each track is an original generation, so the track itself is not in a rights holder's fingerprint database. A claim can still come from a third party who wrongly registered a similar generation, or from other audio in your video. If one appears, dispute it with the track's license certificate. No license can promise that a platform will never flag a video.
01
Can I use Sonilo music in monetized YouTube videos?
Yes, if the audio was generated on Pro, Premium, Enterprise, or an eligible API plan. Monetized channels are named in the commercial scope of those plans, which covers long-form videos, Shorts, memberships, sponsorships, and YouTube ads. Free and Creator output may go on a personal, non-monetized channel, not on one that runs ads, memberships, or sponsorships.
On Content ID: Sonilo does not register generated tracks, and a soundtrack generated for your upload is not a shared stock track that another channel can register first. If a claim appears on Sonilo audio, check the claimant and the matched segment, then dispute it and attach the license certificate from your library. YouTube explains the process in its Content ID dispute guidance. A music license is one part of monetization: the channel still has to meet YouTube's channel monetization policies, and each platform's rules on labelling AI-generated content still apply.
If you only need a free, non-AI track, YouTube's Audio Library says Partner Program members can monetize videos that use its music, and Creative Commons tracks must be credited in the description.

02
Can I use Sonilo music in paid ads on YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn?
Yes, from Pro upwards. Paid social, boosted posts, YouTube and Google video ads, pre-roll, and sponsored or branded content are general commercial use, covered on Pro. There is no separate advertising add-on and no per-campaign fee. A television or broadcast spot is a Premium right.
Many "commercial" licenses elsewhere still exclude paid media, so read the scope for the words advertising or paid media, not just "commercial use". On Sonilo the Pro certificate's scope line reads "Commercial use, incl. advertising, client deliverables and monetized channels". Keep it with the campaign files so an ad reviewer or client can see the licensee, scope, and territory without a support ticket.

03
Can I use Sonilo music for client work and agency projects?
Yes, from Pro upwards. The license belongs to the account that generated the audio, so the freelancer or agency generates on a commercial plan and delivers the file with its certificate. The client does not need a Sonilo account and can publish, monetize, and run ads with the delivered video. If the client wants to generate music themselves, they need their own Pro or higher plan.
A delivery routine that holds up in review:
- Classify the project before choosing music: organic social, paid ads, the client's monetized channel, or TV and broadcast (Premium).
- Generate on Pro or above, then open the track in your library and choose Download commercial license. Each audio file gets its own certificate and serial.
- Deliver the audio, the matching certificate, and a short note on what the license covers.
- Archive the certificate, final video, export date, and release destination per project, so a claim months later can be answered quickly.
Plans are non-exclusive and the Terms include no indemnity from Sonilo. If a campaign needs exclusivity, custom terms, or IP indemnification, raise it as an Enterprise conversation before delivery.
See music for agencies and content studios and client work and paid ads in the licensing help center.

What each Sonilo plan allows, by use.
Rights attach to the plan active when the audio was generated, not the plan you hold when you publish. "Covered" means under the current Terms, not a guarantee against every claim.
| Intended use | Free or Creator | Pro | Premium or Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal, non-monetized posting | Covered | Covered | Covered |
| Monetized YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Reels, streams | Not covered | Covered | Covered |
| Paid social, pre-roll, sponsored and branded content | Not covered | Covered | Covered |
| Client and agency deliverables | Not covered | Covered | Covered |
| Film, television, broadcast, studio games | Not covered | Not covered | Covered |
| Releasing a track to Spotify, Apple Music, or stores | Not covered | Not covered | Not covered |
| Exclusivity or indemnification | No | No | Enterprise agreement only |
Upgrading later does not license a track made on Free or Creator; generate it again on the paid plan. The same rules apply to music and sound effects.

Royalty-free, commercial use, and copyright are three different questions.
Royalty-free describes payment: no per-use royalties after you license the track. It does not say where you may use it. Commercial use describes permission: whether the license covers monetized videos, paid media, and client delivery. Copyright is a separate question about the work itself.
A downloadable file, a free trial, or the label "royalty-free" does not establish commercial permission, and plan names are not comparable across vendors: a paid plan called Creator is non-commercial on Sonilo. AI-generated music is not automatically public domain, exclusive to you, or immune from someone else's claim, and output may not qualify for copyright protection in every jurisdiction; the U.S. Copyright Office's AI materials cover human authorship. That makes the license and your records the practical protection.

Workflow: a licensed soundtrack for a YouTube ad.
- Define the format first. A 6-second bumper, a 15- or 30-second skippable, and a 60-second cut need different arcs. Note where the voiceover sits and which moments the music has to hit: the hook in the first seconds, the product reveal, the call to action, the end card.
- Upload the cut, not a prompt. Sonilo's video-to-music reads the edit and generates a track to its runtime, cuts, and voiceover space, so there is no trimming a three-minute track down to 30 seconds. Keep speech clear with preserve speech and audio ducking.
- Generate variants and compare. Listen for abrupt starts, transitions that clash with the voiceover, and endings that cut too sharply for the format.
- Download the audio and the certificate together. File both with the ad's production files, not just the audio.
- Re-generate per cutdown. Each campaign version gets its own fitted track and its own certificate.

How to check any AI music generator before client work or paid ads.
Read the license or terms, not the pricing page or a roundup. For any tool, confirm:
- Paid advertising or paid media is named, not only "commercial use".
- Use under a client's brand and on the client's channels is permitted.
- Which plan was active when the file was generated, and whether that plan carries commercial rights.
- What happens to published work after you cancel or downgrade.
- Whether you can hand a reviewer proof: a certificate, a download record, or the license text in force at the time.
- Restrictions on distributing standalone tracks, exclusivity, and indemnity.
Official sources, checked September 27, 2026:
- Suno terms: Free and Basic output is for personal, non-commercial use; Pro and Premier subscribers may commercially use output they obtained through a permitted download; Remixes are excluded from commercial use; rights in permitted downloads survive cancellation or downgrade.
- SOUNDRAW license: its Creator and Artist plans list personal and commercial use, including YouTube, client work, radio, and TV.
- ElevenLabs, and a side-by-side table of Sonilo, Suno, and ElevenLabs conditions for client delivery: client work and paid ads in the Sonilo help center.

Does the Sonilo API include commercial rights?
Audio generated through the Sonilo API can be used commercially — in your own product and by your end users, including ads, client work and monetized channels. The API is billed pay-as-you-go from a prepaid balance on platform.sonilo.com, not through a sonilo.com subscription plan, so no Pro or Premium plan is needed; Enterprise API customers follow their enterprise agreement. For film, TV or broadcast use, or for releasing tracks to Spotify, Apple Music or other streaming services, contact sales first.
The API takes a video file or URL and returns music fitted to that edit, with sound effects and audio ducking billed from the same prepaid balance. Before building a production pipeline on any music API, check that the license names your use, keep a copy of the terms in force, and check how rate limits and supported durations fit your volume.

09
What is Sonilo trained on, and is the training data licensed?
Sonilo music models are trained only on professionally licensed music, including the Shutterstock catalog. Each license certificate carries a training-data line reading "Licensed catalogs only, incl. content authorized via Shutterstock", which gives a brand, broadcaster, or procurement reviewer a documented provenance answer.
Training-source rights and permission to use the output are separate questions. Licensed training explains where the model learned; the plan and the current Terms define what you may do with the output, and licensed training does not guarantee that no one will ever file a claim.
Source evidence and the partnership announcement are on licensed catalog training for music models.
10
What does the Sonilo license certificate include?
A certificate is issued for audio generated on Pro, Premium, or Enterprise. It records the certificate ID, issue date, the work, its duration, the licensee and plan, the scope, territory (worldwide), exclusivity (non-exclusive), and training-data provenance. Anyone can check it at sonilo.com/verify-license without a Sonilo account.
Keep the certificate with the exported audio, the video version, the export date, and the intended channel. That set is what a client, ad reviewer, or broadcaster asks for. Certificates are not available for Free or Creator output.
11
Which Sonilo plans include commercial rights?
Free ($0) is personal and non-commercial, as are existing Creator subscriptions (Creator is closed to new subscribers). Pro ($5.99 for the first month, then $14.99/month) is the first plan with commercial-use rights: monetized channels, paid ads, sponsored content, client deliverables, apps, and a game shipped on one platform, with no attribution. Premium ($29.99/month) adds film, television, broadcast, and studio games, plus 100,000 monthly credits and videos up to 30 minutes and 3 GB. Enterprise adds custom terms under its agreement, with procurement, security, and legal documentation support. API output is licensed separately from these plans: see does the Sonilo API include commercial rights?

12
What is not covered?
Commercial-use rights on Sonilo do not replace every copyright, platform, client, or broadcast review. Some networks and clients run their own clearance checks, and ad platforms review music during approval; the certificate gives those reviews what they need, but it does not expand the license or guarantee clearance for every use in every territory.
- No plan covers releasing a generated track on its own to Spotify, Apple Music, or other streaming services and stores.
- Rights are non-exclusive: another user could generate something similar.
- The Terms include no indemnity from Sonilo; that is an Enterprise conversation.
- You are responsible for the rights to anything you upload.
Sonilo is a soundtrack and sound-effects tool for finished videos, built for editors and creators who need a licensed track in minutes, not a composer, music supervisor, or full DAW replacement.
The full policy is on licensing and the Terms of Service.

FAQ
Questions about YouTube, ads, and client work.
Sonilo does from Pro ($14.99/month) upwards: ads, sponsored content, monetized channels, and client deliverables are in the plan scope, with no attribution and a license certificate per work; TV and broadcast need Premium. Other tools gate commercial use by plan as well, so check the terms of the plan that was active when the file was generated.
Yes, if the output is licensed for monetized use. Sonilo does not register generated tracks with Content ID, so claims on Sonilo audio are uncommon, but a third party can still file one on any audio. If that happens, dispute it with the license certificate from your Sonilo library.
It depends on the generator's license and your plan. Sonilo music generated on Pro, Premium, Enterprise, or an eligible API plan is licensed for monetized YouTube videos, and the music model is trained only on licensed catalogs. Free and Creator output is non-commercial.
No. Royalty-free means no per-use royalties; it does not say whether paid ads or client delivery are allowed. Check that the license names those uses. On Sonilo they are covered from Pro upwards.
Yes, if you generated it on Pro, Premium, Enterprise, or an eligible API plan. The client needs no Sonilo account. Send the license certificate with the deliverables; a TV or broadcast spot needs Premium.
Yes, on Pro and above, including monetized streams, sponsored posts, and branded content. Free and Creator output is personal and non-commercial.
Rights follow the plan active when the audio was generated, so audio generated on Pro or Premium keeps its commercial scope after you cancel. Export the audio and download each certificate before the plan ends; new generations follow the plan you are on then.
