Scene timing

Sound Effects for YouTube, Videos & Games

Choose a sound for your edit and set when it starts in the sample. Compare scene timing with one-shot or repeated standalone game feedback.

Sound preview studio

Choose an asset and start time, then replay the scene. The standalone WAV download contains the sound only.

Listen for the right moment

Place a sound at a meaningful action rather than covering every edit with an effect.

Download selected WAV

Scene playback uses this start time once; standalone game audition can loop. The video is not exported.

Compare timing, not just the sound type

A cue before, on or after the visible action changes the feedback. Set the start time and replay the silent scene with the selected sound. Standalone game audition can repeat, but the scene plays the cue once and stops at the ten-second video end; late long sounds may be cut off. This is a local preview, not a video export.

Use cases

Mechanical transitions

Compare door-opening and thruster sounds for a mechanical reveal or movement. These are mechanical cues, not a general whoosh collection.

Channel cues

Use a brief click for an on-screen prompt without distracting from narration.

Game feedback

Use a cue for a button press or completed action; repeated audition helps check whether it becomes tiring.

FAQ

Before you begin

What changes when I choose a different content use?+

The category changes to a channel cue, mechanical transition or game feedback. The old search is cleared and playback stops so the new category has its own candidates.

Why does game feedback repeat?+

Game mode loops the standalone audition to help assess repeated feedback. Stop audio-only playback ends the loop; switching to another use turns looping off.

Does the scene repeat the game sound too?+

No. Scene playback places the selected asset once at your chosen start time and stops at the ten-second video end. Use the standalone player to hear a full sound repeatedly.

Which sounds are available for video transitions?+

This selection uses door-opening and thruster cues for mechanical movement or reveals. It is not a general whoosh collection; compare whether these specific cues fit your edit.
