Is there a Sonilo API, and how is it priced?
Short answer
Yes, the Sonilo API covers video to music, text to music, video to sound effects, text to sound effects and audio ducking. It is billed per second of output from a prepaid balance on platform.sonilo.com, not through a sonilo.com plan, and new accounts start with free trial calls. Current rates are on the platform pricing page.
Separate from the app
- API keys come from platform.sonilo.com, which is a separate account from your sonilo.com app account.
- Calls are billed pay as you go from a prepaid US dollar balance, with no subscription. App credits and plans do not apply to the API.
- The sound effects endpoints have a 3 second billing minimum.
- Rates for each endpoint are on the platform pricing page.
What it covers
Video to music, text to music, video to sound effects, text to sound effects, audio ducking, task polling and account usage. The developer documentation has the endpoints, authentication, quickstarts and the CLI.
Commercial use
Audio generated through the API can be used commercially, in your own product and by your end users, without a Pro or Premium plan. See API commercial use.
