What audio formats can I download from Sonilo?
Short answer
Sonilo downloads music and sound effects as an M4A file with AAC audio, a WAV at 48 kHz, 16 bit, for DAWs, audio editors and game engines, or an MP3 at 320 kbps. The format never changes the plan: whatever plan can download the M4A can download the WAV and the MP3. Videos with your music or sound effects export as MP4.
| What | Format | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Music | M4A (AAC audio), WAV (48 kHz, 16 bit) or MP3 (320 kbps) | Pro, Premium |
| Sound effects | M4A (AAC audio), WAV (48 kHz, 16 bit) or MP3 (320 kbps) | Every plan (Free: text sound effects only, see below) |
| WAV and MP3 | Made from the M4A | The same plans as the M4A |
| Video with your music | MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio) | Pro, Premium |
| Stems from the audio tools | Audio files, usually M4A | Every plan |
Sound effects made from a video
Sonilo gives sound effects made from a video two ways: as their own audio file, from Download sound effects in the Export menu, and inside the video, from Export video (MP4), which mixes every track at the levels you set. On a paid plan the audio file downloads as an M4A, a WAV or an MP3. On Free it plays on the site but does not download.
About the WAV and the MP3
The WAV and the MP3 are made on the server from the stored AAC file, so the WAV is the format DAWs, audio editors and game engines import, not a lossless master.
On the Free plan
- Music, and the audio from video generations, plays on the site, but downloading it needs a paid plan.
- Sound effects and voiceovers made from text: 10 free downloads a calendar month, counted together. Free downloads are for personal, noncommercial use and must credit Sonilo; see posting Free plan output.
- Exporting a video that carries generated music needs a paid plan. Other Free exports carry a watermark and are rendered at up to 720p on the short side. Paid plans export without a watermark at the original resolution.
Length
Every download of a video generation is cut to your plan's length; see how long your video can be.
